Plenary 3: A public health success story: meeting the challenge of using evidence in public health settings

Synopsis:
Public health practitioners strive every day to make decisions that are informed by the best available evidence. Funders and those accountable for public health outcomes urge practitioners to allocate resources and implement programs that are grounded in evidence. This plenary panel discussion will focus on the realities of finding and applying evidence in the context of program decision-making in public health. The panel will examine the steps and process of evidence-informed decision-making using a real-life story to illustrate the organizational-, management- and individual-level challenges faced by decision makers in public health.

Accreditation for
Physicians
CCC is currently finalizing accreditation approval with the Office of Continuing Education at the University of Ottawa. We anticipate physicians all across Canada will receive Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits for attending the symposium.
